Hey there, I'm AZ
Hi, I’m Anneliese (you can call me AZ)—a Certified Specialist of Wine CSW and proud WSET Level 3-an official wine geek.
I started leading tours out of a deep love for teaching—and a desire to challenge myself and keep learning along the way.
I’ve spent over a decade working in the wine and spirits industry, and what’s always lit me up the most is education. Whether I’m leading a wine dinner, hosting a tasting, or training restaurant staff, I love helping people connect the dots between what’s in the glass and the culture, craft, and history behind it.
But who am I, really?
I’m originally from New York and grew up in my father’s restaurant, where he had me mix red and white wine to make rosé (really!).
Before I found my way into wine, I worked different jobs and lived all over—including Alaska and Australia—doing everything from theater engineering to photography to managing restaurants. Each experience brought me closer, but wine and spirits stuck.
Now, I live in a small mountain town in Colorado with my awesome daughter, Charlie, our dog and my parents.
